I am so excited to begin this journey with you! While the prospect of the “college application process” is intimidating and multi-faceted, my role as your personal College Advisor is to alleviate all of these fears. My organizational skills, mastery in the field, years of experience and relationships with admissions representatives nationwide will provide you and your children with a great sense of relief and comfort.

I graduated from Marlboro High School in central New Jersey in 1999 and attended Penn State University. “We Are!” I obtained a BS in Psychology in 2003 and returned home for graduate school. After moving back to Monmouth County, NJ, I earned my master’s degree from Monmouth University in Psychological Counseling in 2005. While I was undergoing my field experience with a School Psychologist, I was instantly drawn to the work that the School Counselors were doing - especially the college advising component. At that time, I decided to continue my education and I attained my School Counselor certification and a post-master’s degree in 2006.

I was immediately hired as a School Counselor in a very large public school district in Middlesex County, NJ where I worked for 16 years. Recently I took on a new endeavor as a School Counselor at a specialized academy for Biotechnology at the #5 ranked high school in New Jersey and #72 in the nation! While my tasks as a school counselor include individual and group counseling, running tests (both state and standardized), and much more, my true passion is College Advising. My creative influence has helped develop some of the most unique essays around with topics such as peanut butter, hair, and a giant blue balloon stuck in a tree!

I recently returned to school, as I continuously strive to expand my knowledge in college admissions, receiving a College Advising Certificate from Columbia University in the TC-CAP program. I am also a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
